The role of religion in 17th century england
Most people in England back then were defined by their religion. Their personality was based off of what religion they were and what religions other people were. Some religions back then were Protestant, Puritan, Catholic, and many more. But the official church of England was the Church Of England or Anglican Church. The king was the head of this church and he decided how services were organized. They were usually elaborate with the tax money used for the church.
